Favourite ST pairing(s): McSpirk and sub-pairings.

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: I love science, psychology, my five cats, writing, sometimes I draw.

Where to add you: (lj, tumblr, dw, etc) DW: harlow_turner_chaotic_ace, LJ: madeingold, Tumblr: spangelmybeloved

What's in your journal: At the moment, not much; some personal ruminations, some aspirations to Star Trek expanded-universe fanfic, said fanfic (genfic at that) to follow

What rating is your journal: At present, T (or PG/PG-13 if you prefer)

Favourite ST series/movie(s): Series: TOS, SNW, DS9. Movies: TWOK, SFS, TVH, GEN, FC

Favourite ST character(s): TOS: Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Matt Decker (don't judge, poor bastard is one of the most mentally disturbed characters in all of Trekdom). DS9: Kira, Odo, both Daxes, O'Brien, Garak. Disco: Tilly (100% neurodivergent she is), Pike, Ash Tyler, Detmer (even though she's woefully undercharacterized). SNW: Pike again, Uhura, Spock, Chapel, and best of all, ORTEGAS!!! XD

Favourite ST pairing(s): I don't do pairings. [genfic huff]

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: Writing, history, music, travel, neurodiversity & advocacy, nature, classic automobiles, pet parenthood, winter sports, water sports, trains when I'm not working on them

Where to add you: Discord & Tumblr: steampoweredscribe, Twitter/Bluesky: HighIronScribe, AO3: Shadow2Serenity

What you do in fandom: In fanfic: adventure and intrigue, explore themes of neurodivergence and mental health. Other than fanfic: conventions when I can, occasional charity work, overanalyze Star Trek canon & retconning. XD

Other fandoms you like: Firefly/Serenity, Doctor Who, Due South, LOTR, Indiana Jones, Space Battleship Yamato

Other comms you like: Haven't really been on here enough to find any.

Anything else you'd like to share: You can't always control who comes into your life, but you can control which airlock you kick them into.

Age: Old enough to remember dial-up, not old enough to have watched Star Trek on network TV.

Location: Canada

What's in your journal: Just my trek fanfic right now (I am new) but I plan on adding book reviews (trek and not trek) and there will probably be a lot of star trek related ramblings.

What rating is your journal: Teen+? I don't write anything sexually explicit, and anything that might be need a higher rating will be clearly marked and under a cut.

Favourite ST series/movie(s): TOS, AOS

Favourite ST character(s): Nyota Uhura

Favourite ST pairing(s): Spirk

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: Video games, reading, and hanging out with my cat

Friending policy: I'll grant access once I get a feel for you. None of my stuff is friend-locked right now, but there might be some things I have friend-locked in the future.

Where to add you: Here on DW, I have a Tumblr at space-dog-from-space but it is on indefinite hiatus so I won't be interacting with it much.

What you do in fandom: Write fanfic, make memes, and be annoying :)

Other fandoms you like: Honestly, it's kind of just Star Trek. I like other things but the only fandom I interact with is Trek.

Other comms you like: I am so new to DW that I will have to do a raincheck on this one

Anything else you'd like to share: I'm looking for more people to follow so if you post Trek stuff hit me up! Also I am very very new to DW and never used LJ when it was a thing, so please be patient with me as I figure out how this all works!

What's in your journal:
I'm doing Fannish Fifty, where so far I've gone over nonfiction Trek books I read last year and official TNG books, specifically with a focus on Riker. I plan to do run-downs on all the Star Trek zines in my collection in future posts! I post about nonfiction books, Skeptical Inquirer articles, writing advice I find online, cool videos, VHS tapes, Satanic Panic, censorship and fandom meta, and I've also transcribed some fan letters on K/S and homosexuality in Star Trek (from 1977).

What rating is your journal:
I would put it at Teen or Mature, but not X-rated. I do plan to review a magazine soon called "Sensitive Content", about queer photos censored on Instagram, so there will be some explicit posts in the future. When I review Obsc'zine, the X-rated Star Trek zines, there will likely be some mature content there as well. Personally, I write a lot of X-rated fiction, so if you subscribe, you'll definitely hear it mentioned in passing, but I don't share that stuff on my DW blog.

Favourite ST series/movie(s):
TOS is my first love, TNG and DS9 came next! I've watched a little of Discovery, SNW, Prodigy, and Picard, but I haven't seen any Voyager, Enterprise, Lower Decks, etc.

Favourite ST character(s):
McCoy, Spock, Riker, Garak!

Favourite ST pairing(s):
Kirk/Spock, McCoy/Spock, Riker/Troi, Garak/Bashir. I enjoy just about any pairing from TOS and TNG, though!

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom:
I love heavy metal, tape collecting, playing cards, and making new cocktails, especially Star Trek-themed ones! I enjoy writing original fic and getting involved with zines.

Friending policy:
Anyone is welcome :) No need to comment first.

Where to add you: (lj, tumblr, dw, etc)
Here on DW is best! If we want to have quicker conversations then I'm all for moving to discord to chat. My tumblr blog is seikilos-stele, but it's mostly a scrapbook for neat art and queer photos that I like.

What you do in fandom:
I write! Right now I'm working on a novel-length Riker fic that follows him as a cadet during his first off-planet summer internship. I also love doing challenges, exchanges, and zines. I love to read and review tie-in novels and comics, and fanzines that I'm not a part of. I'm not great at graphic design or photo manip, hence the lack of an icon 😆 I have a friend making some for me.

Other fandoms you like:
Sherlock Holmes, Aubrey-Maturin, Star Wars, Hannibal, Watchmen (the original comic), Batman, Gargoyles, Our Flag Means Death, MDZS, Stargate, Once Upon a Time, man, all kinds of stuff. I've written for a little of everything and enjoy meta, gifsets, and fanart a lot. I'm a general fan of Japanese BL and I have a bad habit of falling in love with manga series that ended decades ago, with no complete fan translation available online. I'm slowly trying to learn Japanese to fix that for myself 😆

Other comms you like:
This is the first one I've joined! I see a lot of people doing Snowflake Challenges and ofc Fannish Fifty, and I love that!

Anything else you'd like to share:
I'm a staunch Freedom of Fiction type. I mean, I'm not confrontational, so if you're an anti and you want to add me, that's fine. If I see a post I disagree with, I just won't comment. But I figure that's a dealbreaker for a lot of people, so I want to be upfront!

Other comms you like: discord is my number one but honestly wherever is fine. if i exist there, ill respond there

Anything else you'd like to share: im really bad at uh, existing in fan spaces. bad at making friends in general really, but tryina put myself out there so i can make more. im weird but chill, dont worry.

Anything else you'd like to share: I am an avid collector of fanfictions in fandoms I like. Right now, I am on search for Pinto fics that have vanished with the deletion of their creators LJs and/or the deleting of ontd_pinto on LJ. So, anyone who'd like to help, is very welcome to do so. Returned to DW and Need More Friends!

Age: 29

What's in your journal: Mostly general fandom stuff at the moment. I recently returned to DW after many years away, so I'm still getting used to posting here again. Right now I've got primarily snowflake_challenge posts and exchange letters, but there will also be fics, recs, and other assorted fandom and personal stuff.

What rating is your journal: General audiences. I may occasionally link to adult content or discuss it under a cut, and there probably will be cursing bc I'm me, but for the most part it'll be G rated.

Favourite ST series/movie(s): DS9 and the AOS movies. But also I really do love Nemesis.

Favourite ST character(s): DS9: Garak, Nog, Sisko; AOS: Kirk, Gaila, Jaylah

Favourite ST pairing(s): DS9: Garashir, NohJay, Quodo; AOS: K/S, Gaila/Winona

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: crafting (sewing, jewelry making, and cross stitch mostly), watching movies in general, reading, cryptozoology, anthropology, vegan cooking/food, board games, bujo

Friending policy: If we've got something in common (and I assume we do since we're both on a Trek friending comm...), then I'm happy to be friends! Just leave a comment :)

Where to add you: Here on DW! But I'm also down for more twitter reeby10 or tumblr voldiebuns friends.

What you do in fandom: I read and write a lot of fic, run a couple exchanges/bangs, occasionally make icons and other graphics, and very occasionally make FSTs. I'm hoping to get into making podfics and vids soon! Oh and I volunteer with the OTW and at cons when we get to have those.

Other fandoms you like: So so many, I'm very multifandom! But some that come up frequently and/or I'm into lately: IT movies, Teen Wolf, Stargate Atlantis, Person of Interest, Harry Potter, Star Wars (TFA and the Thrawn books), The Following, Hannibal, Labyrinth, Hellboy, High School Musical, Psych, My Babysitter's a Vampire, anything with a giant and/or killer shark... I could go on lol

Other comms you like: Mostly I follow exchange comms on here atm, so uh, recs for good comms would be awesome!

Anything else you'd like to share: *waves*

Unapologetically '80's and Beyond

Posted by: grayarcadian

Name: M
Age: 43

What's in your journal: Currently fandom thoughts.

What rating is your journal: PG-13 for language and themes. I might put up some tasteful K/S pics I find, but that's the extent of things.

Favourite ST series/movie(s): TNG by far, but I have a mad love for TOS as well.

Favourite ST character(s): Tasha Yar. I'm that kind of dedicated.

Favourite ST pairing(s): Data/Tasha: I have thoughts on this. The other main TNG ships. I like I little K/S in my life along with Garek/Bashir. Currently intrigued by Trip/T'Pol but don't know enough yet.

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: I'm a special education teacher who also runs the library and tech. Fandom has integrated into my life or I'd blow a gasket. I even picked up my cooking habits largely by working con hospitality.

Friending policy: Please no minors. It's a teacher thing.

Where to add you: (lj, tumblr, dw, etc): Dreamwidth to start. I have other contacts on my profile page if you'd like to seek me out.

What you do in fandom: Wikis, running cons, running hospitality, research, nursing people through writer's block, role-playing games and game design, fan lore, running DW RP communities, repairing and/or tracking canon, fanfic

Other fandoms you like: TRON, Logan's Run, Star Wars...If it's from the 70s through the 00s, not anime, and geeky, I likely love it and want to join whatever community or fanfic group you have for it.

Other comms you like: I have a troupe of writers that I work with in a variety of fandom settings. This is our DC Legion of Superheroes RP Community, for example.

Anything else you'd like to share: I'm just getting back into being actively social after years of grad school and an intensive job. I'm learning to solo write after a lifetime of being others writing support or working in group rps. Out of all the stories, the Trek ones are leaning on me the hardest, leading me here.

What's in your journal: Fannish stuff, personal stuff, random thoughts

What rating is your journal: If something was x-rated, I'd make that very clear and put it under a cut. I don't really write anything x-rated in my journal though.

Favourite ST series/movie(s): TNG/First Contact

Favourite ST character(s): Jean-Luc Picard

Favourite ST pairing(s): Picard/Walker Keel, Picard/Q, Picard/Riker, Picard/Data, Data/LaForge, Riker/Worf... basically anything slashy. I also like slash from the other series, not just TNG. Garak/Bashir, Archer/Tucker, Kirk/Spock... and so on and so on.

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: Gaming, politics

Friending policy: I like making new friends, and I'll add anyone who thinks our fandoms and/or interests match. I would prefer 18+ friends though, I guess that's the only "rule" I can think of.

Where to add you: Here on DW, and I'm mrpicard on Tumblr and AO3 and mr_picard on Twitter.

What you do in fandom: I'm the resident Sir Patrick Stewart fan and the guy who's hopelessly in love with Jean-Luc Picard (I keep those two guys completely separate tho). Guess that's what I'm most known for. But also maybe some of my Picard-centric TNG fan fic, chances are somewhat high that you'll run into one of my stories if you're looking for JLP slash on AO3.

Other fandoms you like: Sir Patrick Stewart (does he count as a fandom?)

Other comms you like: There aren't many comms here on DW that match my fannish interests, sadly. I've therefore chosen to run a community myself, it's over at sirpatrickstewartnews .

Anything else you'd like to share: Hmm. Nope!

What's in your journal: At the moment not much. I'm a tumblr escapee, fleeing the demise. I have one post, saying hi. I'm very out of practice with this style of interaction.

What rating is your journal: Probably PG-13? There's pretty much a zero chance of me posting anything nsfw, but some of the people I follow do.

Favourite ST series/movie(s): In descending order: TOS movies, Enterprise, TOS, TNG, AOS movies, TNG movies. I started watching DS9 and Voyager when they were originally broadcast but fell out of watching.

Favourite ST character(s): TOS Spock, Lieutenant Reed, Captain Picard, K'Ehyler, Jadzia Dax, Garak, Commander Tucker, T'Pol, Doctor Bashir, Doctor Phlox, Hoshi Sato, Data

Favourite ST pairing(s): Reed/Tucker, Reed/Hayes, Spirk, and I recently read my first Paris/Kim fic. It was so amazing I think I ship it now.

Interests/Hobbies outside of fandom: LOL. You say that like there's life outside fandom. Melodic death metal, painting, left wing politics, animals in general but especially birds.

Friending policy: I will probably friend you back, especially if you're an Enterprise fan. I'm new to the series and the fandom isn't as active as that of the other series.

Where to add you: (lj, tumblr, dw, etc) mszia, eisenvulcanstein

What you do in fandom: Voraciously read fanfic, mentally plan fanfic I'll never actually write, look at beautiful art, discuss meta

Other fandoms you like: MCU (especially Loki), Supernatural, Doctor Who, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, various animes. I was really into Harry Potter a few years ago and still sometimes head back in to look around.

Other comms you like: I'm new here, so I don't know.

Anything else you'd like to share: I'm introverted and socially awkward with a sometimes crippling level of anxiety to go with it. It's a lot of fun.
